Himalayan salt

For thousands of years, the people of the Himalayan and Indian region have known this crystalline salt and appreciated it as a gift of nature. It is used as cooking salt and in Ayurvedic applications.

Diluted in water, it has a purifying and detoxifying effect. It is also used for rinsing the nose, eyes, and many other uses.

In one of the oldest cradles of mankind, between the Indus and Djelam rivers which have their sources in the Himalayas, lies Salt Range, a 500 million year old salt mountain range.

This is where we extract our Himalayan salt. The pieces of salt are washed, sun-dried, roughened, sifted, ground and packed.

Beneficial properties

Unlike refined cooking salt enriched with iodine and fluoride (which are harmful to health), Himalayan crystal salt is a highly energetic natural product. It strengthens the cellular metabolism and vitalizes the cells.

Thanks to its age and the metamorphic geology of the Himalayas, it has the highest content in the world of trace elements, which are lacking in our contemporary diet. These elements are compressed in the crystalline structure, which allows their assimilation by the body. They are what give the salt its coloring. Our Himalayan salt contains up to 84 elements and trace elements.

Among the most important:

Potassium maintains the integrity of each of our cells by regulating its water content, which promotes problems such as hypertension, edema and electrolyte imbalance.

Magnesium is also found in this salt. It contributes to the main cellular metabolisms.

Iron provides the human body with the elements of hemoglobin for the regeneration of blood and provides the typical pink color.

Copper contributes - along with iron - to the synthesis of hemoglobin.

It is rich in compound silicon, an element that activates the body's structuring forces, and the richness in ions and electrolytes provides a balanced pH and strengthens cell regeneration.

For preparation in the kitchen

Use Himalayan Salt to season your food: it has excellent dietary qualities and enhances the flavor of your dishes. Unlike iodized and fluorinated salts (which are harmful to health) our Himalayan salt is free of side effects.


Put a handful of salt crystals in a well-sealed jar and fill it with fresh water. After a few hours (up to a day if there are large chunks), you will have a saturated solution with 26% salt. Make sure there is always enough salt so that some of the crystals remain in the water without dissolving. Pour two teaspoons of brine into a glass of cool water and drink on an empty stomach.

The body then starts a detoxification process that requires the consumption of 2 to 3 liters of fresh non-carbonated water per day. In order to obtain good results, follow this diet for a long time (at least 3 months).

Saline bath

The salinity of the water should correspond to that of the blood (1%). For a full 120 l bathtub, therefore, approx. 1.2 kg of salt is required. The ideal bath temperature is 37°C and the bathing time is 20 minutes. It is recommended not to shower after the bath, but to gently dab the body with a towel, then rest for at least 30 minutes. The salt bath eliminates acidity and detoxifies the body. It brings a deep relaxation.
